Announcing our first retreat
March 17-19 2023

Greetings friends,
As many of you know, for the last two years we have been involved in a joint project to manifest a persistent calling: to create a retreat space that serves as a natural extension to our healing practices.
After 2 years of intense renovation, we are excited to announce the opening of our retreat center, Nagdeo Sanctuary, and our first retreat weekend which we will host on March 17-19 of 2023 in Washington, Vermont.
We envision Nagdeo to serve as a refuge from the intensity of the daily human experience. A place of healing and nourishment for the body, mind and spirit. A home to freedom of thought and ideas, and safe space to challenge boundaries and belief systems. An oasis for quietude and introspection; love and connection. In short, a sanctuary.
Sitting on 14 stunning acres tucked away in the mountains of Vermont, our farmhouse and cabins will provide you with a way to extricate yourself from your daily patterns. An invitation to turn off technology. To slow down. To breathe. To create connection. To learn. To live.
As far as the retreat on March 17th-19th…
We have put quite a bit of thought into the design and intention for the weekend. For simplicity’s sake we will call it a meditation retreat, but the aim is for it to be something a bit more dynamic and interactive.
These past few years have been traumatic for us all. It has been a time marred with fear, frustration, anxiety, insecurity and division. One of the most challenging realities for me during these times is witnessing the physical and emotional toll that this unprecedented stress has placed upon clients/associates/friends/family. This has led to extraordinary levels of anxiety, worry and simply a collective exhaustion.
Therefore, the intention of this weekend is to encourage a reclaiming of our individual and collective center while giving us tools to remain on a grounded, balanced, middle path in our daily lives. It will be an opportunity for simplicity and quiet introspection alongside exploration and discussion, with a purpose of balancing, restoring and bringing ourselves back into alignment- perhaps finding peace or rediscovering joy--a weekend of unity and celebrating human connection.
The retreat will focus on a number of meditation techniques and breath work with discussion and other exercises that will assist in integration. We will be teaching daily yoga and Qi Gong. These will be lead by Philip and Arorah. There will be down time for rest, walking the grounds/hikes, reading by the fire, conversation, laughter, games.
Brian is our amazing professional chef who owns and operates Farmacy. He will be serving locally sourced, organic meals. Vegan/vegetarian option will be made available and we will do our absolute best to cater to dietary restrictions.
You need no previous training to attend or actively participate. This weekend will be perfect for those interested in beginning their exploration into meditation as well as those with a deep-rooted meditation practice. This gathering is designed to be relatively intimate however, so there will be a limited number of spaces available for this retreat and spots will be held in the order requests are received. If you are interested in attending this or future retreats, please respond directly to nagdeoretreats@gmail.com.
We will send you more details.

A bit more about the property and future offerings…
We have been dedicated to the ideal of self-sufficiency by forming a relationship with the land itself and creating as small of a footprint as possible through the efficient use of renewable resources.
The property is completely off-the-grid, but has all of the accommodations and luxuries one would expect from any lodging or retreat center. We are powered by our array of solar panels and batteries. Our bathing and drinking water come directly from the earth- sourced from our pristine on-site well. We feed the soil of our small (but growing) farm with compost from our foods scraps and by partnering with local farmers to utilize organic matter from biodynamic farming and husbandry practices.
Once Nagdeo is operating full-time, we will be hosting weekend, week long (and longer) retreats. We intend to present interesting minds and speakers as well as music and celebratory events like small weddings. Also, corporate retreats to develop consciousness and vitality in work culture, encouraging a conscious shift away from workforce survival into workplace thriving. Our possibilities are limitless.
For those of you interested in hosting wellness or corporate retreats or any of the above please feel free to reach out to us directly as well.
We are eager and grateful to host this inaugural weekend and to begin sharing this beautiful space with our growing community. Again email us at nagdeoretreats@gmail.com.
